Laurence put together a trio including me and drummer Ernie Adams to perform at the Highland Park Arts Center’s 50th Anniversary Gala.  I fully expected this to be another “we play as people talk” background music gig, but to my delight, we actually played a concert for a room full of attentive listeners.  Laurence arranged for a Pianoforte Fazioli piano, we rehearsed some of Laurence’s new material that afternoon and hit around 9:00PM.  Always an adventure playing with LH and Ernie’s drumming is world class. What more could one ask for?
